February 25, 2000 KEEPING UP WITH BRIDGET JONES. Bridget is back -- yay! -- and feeling "marvelous, rather like Posh Spice or similar radiant newlywed posing with sucked-in cheeks and lip gloss while everyone imagines her in bed with David Beckham." (Uh-oh!) IT IS DECIDEDLY COOL. Breakup Girl doesn't shake this Magic 8 Ball for you, but -- It Is Certain -- a Linux computer does. NON-COMMITTAL MAKE-OUT PAGE. A handful of enterprising students at Brigham Young University have launched a website dedicated to matching up no-strings kissing partners. (Can anyone find it?) (I'm just curious!) Not without its problems, of course, but heck, I could see it working for rebounds. WITH YOUR CROOKED HEART. A "moral whodunit" from the best of England's non-funny female writers -- winner of the Orange Prize for the year's best fiction by a woman, in fact. DOROTHY HAMILL'S BACK! And skating in the Goodwill Games. Good for her! But now I know why women always cry when we watch figure skating. Because it reminds us that we all had that haircut. A LEGOLAND FAR, FAR AWAY. The Star Wars trilogy ... entirely in LEGO. Now I wanna see Blair Witch (and all its sequels) in Lincoln Logs.
