THE OLD BALL AND CHAIN. Some desperate folks will do just about anything to get married this month. Consider the case of Dorrell Mainer and Kevin Rainey. Seems the couple had a mixup with the IRS and found themselves suddenly short on funds for their wedding the following week. Now, we at Team BG are all in favor of creativity and teamwork, but robbing a bank is probably not the best way to start your new life together. According to the felonious fiancees, they "didn't want to disappoint their guests." Well, it looks like they're going to keep the guests waiting after all... for ten to twenty. [--Colin]

JOHN DEERE DRAG. Lawnmower racing -- yep, speeding at 30 mph around a track on a riding mower -- is evidently all the rage in parts of the midwest. Whoa... the Mars/Venus boys/toys (though some women race) jokes I could make here would be like shooting fish in a barrel. Which evidently is also very popular.
