Dear Breakup Girl,

Okay, so I was going out with this guy (we'll call him "Joe") for eight months. It was a good relationship and all; I really liked him a lot. So school ends, he gets a job, and he starts calling less. Instead of everyday, he only calls maybe once a week. We haven't gone out on a date now for over a month and a half, and I haven't talked to him for over three weeks. I guess its over. I've found other possible love interests, so I guess my question is this: is there something I have to say or do to make it official or is the lack of communication enough?

Dear Jessica,

Well, it's hardly ideal, but I guess the lack of call defaults to "over." Especially because after doing that, he's not allowed back.
