Dear Breakup Girl,

I haven't got a date for the prom and I'm not sure who I can ask. There is someone I can go with but he's not my type and definitely not someone I want my friends to see. I also don't want to go with this guy that likes me. Is it cool to go stag? But I do want to go to Prom with someone, otherwise what am I going to do After?

Dear Angelina,

If that guy's not your type, he's not your type. Fine. But in order to avoid yelling at you about this whole "not someone I want my friends to see" thing, I will simply say this: if you're that worried about what your friends will think, then maybe going stag -- which yes, is scary, but also perfectly cool -- would be good practice for you. (And about After -- isn't than when everyone hooks up with everyone else's dates, anyway?)
