Dear Breakup Girl,
I've been dating a guy for the past six months. He divorced two years ago
and does not want a serious relationship right now. I like this guy, we seem to
get along together pretty well, and he has a lot of good qualities. However,
I'm wondering how long I should stay in a casual relationship. I'm in my late
20's and do not intend to spend years being the "friend" of a
commitment shy man. Is there a time limit on non-serious relationships?
-- Victoria
Dear Victoria,
No, but there's a word limit. If all you can say about
any relationship is "like," "pretty well," and "a lot
of good qualities," then why are you wasting your time?
Love,
Breakup Girl
