Dear Breakup Girl,

I have been dating a man for over one year who told me he was separated. Then, as it turned out, after things got more serious, he told me he was married. I am confused because even though I know this is the wrong thing, I love him and he says he loves me. He has four children and is well-known in my area so I cannot tell anyone about this because of who he is and I do not want to jeopardize his reputation, but I am starting to really want more from him than this (I'm 32, no child yet). HELP! What should I do? I will be devastated without him, but this is killing me more.

-- Christie

Dear Christie,

First of all, reread the letter from Unfaithful, our guest lecturer. Second, realize that Mayor McCheese is going to be about as unwilling to jeopardize his reputation as you are. He's not going to promise anything that you're campaigning for. Finally, reread your own letter. For extra credit, print it out and highlight the last sentence. You're not as confused as you think you are.

Love,
Breakup Girl
