Dear Breakup Girl,
I went on a pseudo-date with a guy I had just met who we'll call guy #1. There
was a downpour so we went to his apartment to dry off. I borrowed a t-shirt,
and met his roommate, guy #2. It became obvious over the next five hours that
guy #2 and I were very interested in each other. Nothing tacky or anything but,
at the end of the night, guy #2 let me borrow a sweatshirt to wear home.
Later that week, he called me and asked me out. However, it's been over a
week and he never called back! I even called and left a message for both guys
saying I wanted to return their shirts to them, and no response!
What the heck happened!? My friend suggested I use the shirts to clean the
toilet like in the movie "Singles."
-- Dissed and Dismayed
Dear Dissed and Dismayed,
Guess those two would rather save face (or not) than shirt.
Waste no time on revenge, even for something wholesome like cleaning. (If you
spend time avenging one minor breach of etiquette,
imagine how much time you're setting yourself up to waste on someone you wasted
more time with?!) So I'd use the shirts to...have scored a couple free shirts.
And use the time to find a guy who'll...help
clean the bathroom.
Love,
Breakup Girl
