Dear Breakup Girl,
So I've met the perfect guy, the one I want to marry and have kids with. But
I'm only 19. So maybe he's not really perfect because if he were truly perfect,
he would have made sure not to show up in my life until I was, like, thirty
and ready to settle. So, which will I regret more: breaking up with him or
staying
with him? Is the fact that I'm even thinking about it enough of a reason to
break up with him? Can I, like, freeze him for ten years and then thaw him out
when I'm ready?
--Lois
Dear Lois,
About the freezing, that gets expensive.
About the breaking up, that would be nuts -- far as I can tell, you've just
got the Could This Be He?-bejeebies, a case of "What's the
catch?"-itis.
'Cause Lois, the one flaw The Perfect Guys have is
timing,
you know that; aren't they always the ones you meet, like, on the last day
of the cruise? And Lois, remember: The One is a feeling, not a fact.
So if you feel that way about him right now, well, hooray! Enjoy it, nerves
and all. Get it while it's hot.
Love,
Breakup Girl
