Dear Breakup Girl,
I have found a love that is perfect. What isn't perfect is the timing. We
are both married. While I am ready to do anything for "love," she is
not. Her religious beliefs stop her from leaving him for me (she is Catholic).
The physical relationship has stopped and we now just enjoy each other's
company. I want her husband to know about this. I want the world to know about
us. What do I do? Do I tell him or do I respect the love enough and let it go?
She is my everything and I don't know if I will do more than exist without
her.
-- JC
Dear JC,
Her marriage is your nemesis, but it is her business.
No fair telling her husband. Or "telling the world," which is the
same as telling her husband, unless he is currently aboard Space Station Mir.
Do that, and my guess is that you will lose even her company. And clearly, your
wife has already lost yours. Go deal with that first, okay?
Love,
Breakup Girl
