A BREAKUP GIRL BLOOPER

Now that I've gottten your attention, it's actually just a clarification on my response to last week's letter from the guy who tapped the phone and heard his wife planning what seemed to be an affair. Now that I look back, I see that I didn't make my real meaning quite clear. When I busted Mr. Linda Tripp for the spy hijinks, I didn't mean to single out him as THE bad guy or wrongdoer. If Mrs. Linda Tripp is so much as flirting with someone other flame, then she's got some 'splaining to do, too, bigtime. My point really is this: beyond pointing fingers at Tappers and Tappees, any relationship in which anyone is tapping any phones to begin with -- unless that relationship is the one in "Ransom" between Mel Gibson and the FBI -- is in big T for trouble. The next call either one makes should be to a marriage counselor.
