Andrew Garfield, the great red-and-blue hope for continuing the Spider-Man movie franchise, sings the Bed Intruder Song (!) on a press junket for Never Let Me Go.

We at BreakupGirl.net have been huge fans of Carrie since Idol, and no matter how magical her life has gotten since winning, we have found it impossible to hate her. This unconditional love was put to the test with her fairytale wedding to ultimate-catch/hockey player Mike Fisher, detailed in this weekend’s People. Usually other people’s weddings, in particular the kind that garner this kind of EXCLUSIVE! coverage, have us reaching for the tylenol. But not this one. We are thrilled for the still-humble Okie! How is this possible? Maybe because it’s just another perk of winning Idol, which we helped make happen. The biggest perk we’ve ever seen, come to think of it. Although that Mustang was nice.

Here’s a treat to bolster our national mood as we await an Idol Rolling Stone night that’s threecontestantsshy of being enjoyable (now statistically proven). EW.com put together a great slideshow of the 14 Kisses That Made You Cringe. This ranges from the obvious (Michael Jackson and Lisa Marie Presley) to the OMG-I-had-blocked-that-out (Angelina Jolie and her brother). For me, the funniest ones are not from real-life, but from movies — where actors (or, say, Prince) make poor choices and no director recognizes the problem (and no editor bails us out). Are there any lip-locks missing you’d like to “see” on this list?
This might sound weird, but I think I fallen in love with someone I saw on T.V. It has been almost 6 months and I still can’t get her off of my mind. I went onto the internet to find some information on her and that was a huge mistake because I found out that we have A LOT in common and I think we could be great together. It isn’t the fact that she is beautiful becuase I could name ten more beautiful women. I must sound like a crazy fan here but I feel like I’m linked to a person I don’t even know. If I didn’t believe in love at first sight then I do now. I could go on to say soul mate and true love but at this point that would be foolish, who knows maybe that will be thinking in three more months of going through this. Could you please help me? I have no clue what to do and it’s driving me crazy.
— Going Crazy
Dear Crazy,
Oooh, ooh, was it me? Wait, that wouldn’t make sense (“ten more beautiful women,” yada yada yada). But listen, Crazy, I’m not about about to call you crazy, ’cause you know what? Breakup Girl’s crush on David Duchovny goes far, far beyond the “ohmigodhe’ssuchaHUNK” thing. I mean, I really, honestly think we’d be great together. And to tell you the truth, our relationship really hasn’t changed all that much since he got married. Anyway, point is, I kind of understand how you feel. But I also — well, let’s just say it’s not like I’m waiting for David. I mean, I think he and I could have something real, but I’m not treating it as such. And that’s the distinction you’re going to have to make. Gaze at her picture; heck, send her fan mail if you want … but only between dates with women you’ve actually met.

Well, the Internet is all afire over reports that George Clooney and his girlfriend Sarah Larson have split. Both People and In Touch magazines are reporting the split, thus giving all other media the opportunity to report on the two magazines reporting on the split. (Way to circumvent the original unattributed source!) Anyway, In Touch Weekly quotes a friend of Larson as saying the pair broke up because the two really had nothing in common. A gazillionaire actor who wants to save Darfur and a cocktail waitress from Vegas half his age have nothing in common? Really? I mean if these two kids can’t make it, who amongst us can? Certainly no one on the full roster of celebrities who have called it quits in May. USA Today has a handy roundup for you here.
The blogosphere is OMGing over Gossip Boy Chace Crawford’s split with Idol darling Carrie Underwood via text message. Sure the couple were dunzo a while azo, but a fresh quote from Carrie over the weekend provided the juicy SMS twist to their “mutual” breakup that has people typing. To us, Charrie (Crawwood?) never seemed so serious that decorum would dictate a face-to-face breakup — especially with C-Bear constantly on tour — but there’s something about texting that suggests “I want to spend as little time on this breakup as possible and use the fewest number of letters.” Ouch. What do people think? Is this the appropriate way to extricate oneself when one of the parties has their own commemorative Louisville Slugger?
